Sonic Register: British black womxn and onscreen performativity takes its inspiration from Rabz Lansiquot (Where Did We Land, 2019), Zinzi Minott (FI DEM, 2018, 2019, 2020) and music iconography. Judah Attille and guests welcome ‘Pat’ (Cassie McFarlane, Burning an Illusion, Menelik Shabazz, 1981) and ‘Anita’ (Anjela Lauren Smith, Babymother, Julian Henriques, 1998), into the complexities of representation as a liberatory strategy.
